Making A Way

We spoke to a man in our church, Brother Joe, who works with animal control in the area. He told us to feed the birds dry dog food, moistened with water and that he was going to get me some information on a lady right here in my hometown who does bird rehabilitation. So that was very good to hear.

When we came home from church, Bruce immediately got some of Tipsy's dog food and put it in water. Especially since Brother Joe told us that they usually eat about every 30 minutes.

Aren't they sweet?

The feeding wasn't a great success and Brother Joe told us that if we had been able to leave the birds where they were yesterday, the mother would have found them and fed them. But he understood they would not have survived around the cats. SO! Bruce took the cage and placed it on top of his building with the hatch off and guess who found her babes? Right now, Bruce is going to put the babies in a box because we think mom is having a problem deciding how to get to them. So that's our plan for now....keep them high, safe, and open so she can get to them. Who can care better for them than their mommy?
