Any Suggestions?
When daddy dropped the boys off here at the house after Rest Home Ministry, I stepped outside to greet them. But instead, I was greeted by this little Blue Jay. He was sitting on my porch banister. We don't know where he came from or how he got there. But we sure didn't miss getting some pictures of him.
Judging by his feathers and eyes, he looks like he is still a baby.
Not knowing what to do with him because of the neighborhood cats, we decided to put him in this cage to protect him until we figured out where he came from or what to do with him.
Then we found out that our neighbor had another one stuck in their tree. Upon thinking it over, Bruce said their nest was probably destroyed when our other neighbors cleared their land earlier this week. So Bruce went over and got the sibling to put in the cage also.
He's more fiery than the other one.....and LOUD! We put them in Hannah's room because the cats were already coming over to see what all the noise was about.
The boys are outside digging up worms that we will "prepare" and feed to these little guys. Then Monday morning, I'll take them to the vet. Maybe they can tend to them until they're ready to be on their own.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and if so, did you learn anything from it that you could share with me?
