Why I Believe In Eternal Security Part II

First of all, what does salvation mean? Salvation means eternal life, full assurance, strong consolation, and a hope....sure and stedfast.

Eternal Life...John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE."
I John 5:11, "And this is the record that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son."

Full Assurance...Hebrews 6:11, "And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end."
Colossians 2:2, "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father and of Christ."

Strong Consolation...Hebrews 6:18, "That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us."

Hope...sure and stedfast....Hebrews 6:19, "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;"

OK, so that's what salvation means. Now, lets see what our status in Jesus is. This is GOOD! Ready? We are Forgiven, Justified, Risen with Christ, Reconciled, Accepted in the beloved, Saved, Citizens of Heaven, Children of Light, Not of the world, Elect, Born again, New creation, Complete in Him, Sanctified once for all, Perfected forever, Passed from death unto life, Sanctified in Christ, Light in the Lord, A child of God forever, and Made fit for Heaven!!

I'm running out of time, but tomorrow, we'll look at the verses that prove our status in Him.
