Where'd They Come From?
Last night after church, our Sunday school class had an afterglow. Of course, Jay was the man we all wanted there. Jay is our favorite Army man home from Afghanistan for a while. He was able to be home for Christmas and will be going back soon. I don't want to say when he's going back, but we'll miss him when he goes again. It's been great seeing him in the services, hearing him in choir, and sitting in his place with his wife, Paige, and their sweet little boys. Jay told us Sunday morning that he got word they lost one of their men the other day. That man was married with three little children. Please keep them in prayers. I know they need it more than ever right now in their lives.
After we ate, we played a fast game of hot potato with Brother Joel's shock ball.
While we played, Carissa was busy eating healthy foods. Well, I think she was actually eating the dip. But she did use the veggies to bring the dip to her mouth. That is, AFTER she put all the tomatoes in the dip. She also chewed up a carrot and spit it back into the tray. Must have lost the dip flavor. Needless to say, she was the only one eating out of THAT tray.
Isn't she cute though?
This morning while Bruce was getting dressed and the children were busy in their school work, our dog Tipsy was going crazy barking out back. When we realized she was barking too much, Bruce looked out the window and announced that there were three horses in the backyard. Sure 'nuff! There they were.
We don't know where they came from exactly, but we do hope they made it back home. I thought that maybe I knew where they came from, so I drove up to the ranch and they weren't home. When I got back, the horses were gone. Justin said they had made their way into the woods behind our house. This is a big deal for us since we don't see horses in our front yard all the time. So anyway, that was the highlight of our day.
