Ohhhhhhh, How Sweet!

I heard from Mom tonight as soon as we walked in the door from church. The senior saints made it to Washington and was having a wonderful time. They are really excited about tomorrow. They are going to the Supreme Court and will be able to listen to some of the hearings on the new immigration laws. That's something to look forward to, isn't it?

Something sweet happened when they got to Washington this afternoon. Brother Joe Hurdt and his wife, Tina, have dedicated themselves to serving the Lord working with our senior saints. They take such good care of the saints when they're on a trip and tend to their every need. They treat them with such respect and love. ANYWAY! Their 25th anniversary was the third of this month and as a surprise, Brother Joe bought Sis Tina a diamond ring and Pastor Goodman helped them in renewing their vows in front of the seniors before they had service this evening. Mom said it made her cry and that it was one of the sweetest things she had ever seen. I spoke to Sis Tina on the phone and she said, "Boy, he pulled a big surprise on me this time!" Now isn't that nice??
