December 7
When daddy became so sick a couple of months ago and had surgery, they had to ask my brother, John, if he would take their dog, Dolly, home with him until he recovered so she wouldn't be jumping on him. He is still recovering, but Dolly finally got to come home last week. She missed mom and dad and was ever so glad to be home. A rather large lap dog, Dolly loves daddy and lays on him like this as long as he'll let her since she's been home. It's so funny.
I cleaned mom and dad's house today and at lunch time, daddy and I jumped in his truck and ate at McDonald's Family Restaurant. No, not THE McDonald's. A locally owned restaurant. I had the cheeseburger basket with everything on it. Now, for you northerners, if you come this way and order a burger all the way, keep in mind that includes your choice of cole slaw or BBQ slaw and chili on that burger as well as all that regular stuff! It was so yummy. Daddy had the hotdog basket, which looked pretty good, but I still say my burger was better. We had a wonderful time together, as always.
Thank you for lunch, Daddy, it was great!
I finished up a few little things at their house and came home to have Justin mulch up our leaves. I packed up my three kids to pick up Jeremy, who is spending the night, dropped Justin and Jeremy back off at the house, dropped Hannah and Harrison off at Amanda's because Hannah is babysitting Celine tonight and, well, Harrison just wanted to go play with Celine. Exchanged a sweater for Hannah, went grocery shopping, did some Birthday shopping (for Bruce), ran into my brother-in-law and nephews, ran into our Youth Pastor, did some more shopping, ran into my Pastor and Mrs. Ava, did some more shopping, picked up Bruce's cake, was checked out by a girl that was obviously in her own world as she took time to read the cards I bought for Bruce (lol no joke), got gas, ran the car through the car wash, came home to put groceries away while the boys carried them in from the car, whipped up a pot (A BIG POT) of mac-n-chesse for these growing boys, gift bagged Bruce's presents, signed his cards, played a game of online checkers (so totally addicted), balanced my checkbook, just opened the door for my Hannah and Harrison (Thank you so much, Amanda, for bringing them home), and right now I am updating my blog! WHEWWW!
I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the store tonight to get the groud beef I forgot and need for Bruce's lasagna tomorrow or just go to bed and get up early in the morning. What think ye? Aaaaaaah, I'll get up early in the morning.
So with that said.......Good Night!
