For "James"

"James," your comment was unnecessary and you will not find it in my comment section. This is a Christian site and I would appreciate comments like that be kept to yourself. You are more than welcome to visit Thimble Thoughts at anytime. Even feel free to comment. But if the comment is rude or obscene, it will not be published. I pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to you here and that you will find His grace and mercy will cover your sins as it will anyone who will humble themselves to Him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdome of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3: 3-7

Now, "James", you being at Bowman Gray Medical School, (bet you're wondering how I knew that) know all about physical birth, I am sure. But do you know about Spiritual birth? Spiritual birth is a lot less labor and a lot easier than physical birth. Christ did all the labor for us. Let me tell you how....

A Holy and SINLESS Christ came to save us from our sins by dying on the cross at Calvary. "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5:21

The Lord wants all of us, including you, to accept Him as LORD of lords and KING of kings. "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." I Timothy 2:3,4

The saving blood of Jesus Christ is a free gift to all who will accept. "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many." Romans 5:15

Many people believe that they do not need to be saved from anything. That they're not really a bad enough person to be sent to Hell. But, "Not by works of righteousness which we hve done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour." Titus 3: 4-6

You too can be saved, "James." But only if you will believe in Him and trust Him as your Saviour. "Bus as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12,13

How do I do that, you may ask. It's very simple. Have you ever heard anyone talk about the Roman's Road? Well, I'll take you along that road and show you how to be saved....

The first stop is at Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Now, I'm sure you didnt get into medical school being an unlearned man. When you hear the word "all" you KNOW that means "ALL." A five year old can understand that. You are included in that "all." The price required to pay for our sin is death.

Our next stop is Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." When Adam sinned in the garden, death passed upon all men. Death is the penalty for sin. But God is giving us a gift of eternal life through Christ if we will just take it. Christ paid that penalty for us on Calvary, and wants to give us the gift of eternal life.

And look here at Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." If you refuse this gift of freedom, then you give up your privilege to be free from the penalty of sin, and you CHOOSE to pay for your own sin. John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Won't you accept Him today, "James?" Just ask Christ to set you free today...Romans 10:13 "For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
