Babies, Piano Lessons, and Farm Animals

We've had the most wonderful time with little Ashlyn today. She's so sweet and content. After her nap this afternoon, she decided she was ready to eat. So she ate some sweet taters and nannas. She really didn't like the bananas that well, but she did try a few bites before she started spitting them out. She finished up with a bottle and fell back to sleep for a cat nap.

Later this evening, we took Hannah to the church for piano lessons.

On the way home, I took some pictures of some of the animals on our road. This cow was next to the fence, but when I pulled over to take the picture, she got scared and walked away.

This horse had its nose down in the ground so I started making noises and she looked up. They'll come to you if you walk up to the fence. This one looks new, I haven't noticed her before. Their horses are usually not this skinny. I'm sure she'll be nice and healthy looking soon.

And then of course there's the donkey and horse that have lived here on our road since before we moved here fourteen years ago. They seem to be good friends. However, just last week I saw the donkey nudging the horse in the side and the horse turned and huffily nudged back. Let's just say it looked as though they were having a bit of a spat.

When we got home, I fed the baby, gave her a bath, rubbed her down with baby lotion, dressed her in soft warm jammies, and gave her a very warm bottle as we rocked in quiet. She fell fast asleep and is bedded down for the night. I should see her bright little eyes between 5:00 and 7:00 tomorrow morning.

So with that being said, I'm hitting the sack now. A baby's wants and needs sometimes come pretty early in the morning.
