Watermelon Did It

Harrison has been working on losing his first tooth for a couple of months now. Last night, while eating watermelon, his tooth fell out into his bowl. Boy was he shocked! Of course he put it under his pillow last night and received a dollar for it. Then this evening we ran into Brother Johnny and Mrs. Vondie at Wal Mart (where else?) and Brother Johnny gave him two dollars. He was happy about that and bought some bubbles in a coke bottle and a wallet to put his last dollar in.

Bruce has his daily devotion when he gets up every afternoon. I have to admit that I get tickled because he reads his devotions out loud. I suppose it helps him retain more. But it's funny because we're all going about our daily routine trying to keep quiet while he reads...aloud. To be honest, we all get tickled because he reads with many voice inflections. Even though I get tickled, I'm glad that he reads out loud because that gives us all a little extra Bible lesson. :) He'll read a daily devotion from the Baptist Bread as well as extra Bible reading and then he'll read a chapter from an Oliver B. Greene book. I believe the book he's reading now is The Epistle of Paul The Apostle to the Philippians. When he was finished with his devotions he shared this little story that had been ripped out of another book and placed inside the Oliver B. Greene book.....

A bank in Binghamtom, New York, had some flowers sent to a competitor who had recently moved into a new building. There was a mixup at the flower shop, and the card sent with the arrangement read, "With our deepest sympathy."

The florist, who was greatly embarassed, apologized. But he was even more embarassed when he realized that the card intended for the bank was attached to a floral arrangement sent to a funeral home in honor of a deceased person. That card read, "Congrautlations on your new location."

To every believer who dies, it would be appropriate to say, "Congratulations on your new location."

Someday my earthly house will fall -
I cannot tell how soon 'twill be;
But this I know - my All in All
Has now a place in Heaven for me.
