Thimble Thoughts

I took some scrapbooking paper and made these pockets for Justin and Hannah. They are hung on their bathroom mirror and every day when they go in for their morning rituals, they reach in their pocket for a trivia question. It could be something in history, geography, science, etc. For instance, this morning, Hannah had to look up "ice cream" at Encyclopedia.com and tell me who saw ice cream being made on his trip to China. Justin's was in vocabulary. I gave him five words, not commonly used in our every day speaking. He had to look them up, study their meanings, and write two sentences for each.

Justin and Hannah seemed to have fun with this. So if you homeschool, or even if you don't homeschool, this would be a great way to keep the brain cells stimulated during the summer.

BTW, the answer to who saw ice cream being made on his trip to China.....MARCO POLO.
