Fall In Love With Jesus

We had our fall ladies meeting tonight and the theme for this meeting was Fall In Love With Jesus.

Brenda (on the right) was there with her sister, who has graced our presence quite frequently lately. I know it thrills Brenda when her sisters come to church or church functions with her.
Our guest speaker tonight was the lady on the left. She is the Pastor's wife of a sister church in York, SC. Her name is Diane Seamster and I enjoyed her so much! She was great. Not to mention she had this terrific deep southern accent. At first, I thought she was from somewhere deep in Savannah or Charleston, but she's originally from Virginia. Go figure! And of course, my sweet Pastor's wife is Mrs. Ava Goodman, there on the right. I do love my Mrs. Ava!!!!

The lady on the left in this picture is someone from Mrs. Seamster's church that traveled with her tonight. She was so sweet.

This is Bless and Mrs. Willie. Mrs. Willie is one of our bus kids parents. A couple of months ago, she accepted Christ into her heart and has been faithful to church ever since and has been working in the bus ministry. She has been an absolute blessing and joy to get to know. Her husband came to church last week and got saved. Praise the Lord! And if I'm not mistaken, Bless is the one that led Mrs. Willie to the Lord. Correct me if I'm wrong, Bless!

Here is Mrs. Kellie Ross and her lovely daughter, Laurel. Laurel is such a sweet little thing. Just like her mommy!

This was the shadow box in our foyer as we walked in.

The bulletin board...isn't it pretty?

The food line...

Mrs. Seamster used an acrostic on the word FALL.
F - Give God FIRST place.

A - Be in ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE to God. There are three reasons we will obey.
1. Because we fear God's wrath.
2. Because we try to score points with Him
3. Because we love Him.
Are you in absolute obedience and if so, why?

L - Living For Jesus. Are we sold out and dedicated to living for Him?

L - Longing to see Him. Do we have a longing to see Him face to face?

It was a wonderful time of Bible study and focussing on falling in love with Him.

Normally we have door prizes that Mrs. Ava hands out, but tonight we were all surprised to see that there were no door prizes. However, we were all pleasantly surprised of what Mrs. Ava DID do. It was so sweet. She filled a basket full of Bath and Body things and a gift certificate to Missy Huffstetler's hair salon and gave it to Mrs. Willie from us. Mrs. Willie cried and hugged Mrs. Ava and it was so sweet. She got up and testified and I didn't miss getting a door prize at all. I don't think any of us did. It was such a blessing.

Justin asked about our former Youth Pastor, Brother Mark Leonard and his wife, Amy, today
wondering how they were doing. So I looked them up on the Internet, found their number, and gave them a call. They weren't home so I left a message. I felt a little bummed that I didn't get a chance to hear her voice But then tonight at the meeting, after the devotions, Mrs. Janet plugged her ipod into the sound system and wanted us to hear a song. It was Mrs. Amy singing a song she had written, We Need To Fall In Love With Jesus Again. So not only did I have great fellowship, fun, a wonderful time of devotion, and blessings, but God did let me hear Mrs. Amy's voice tonight. So I called her when I got home and we talked for quite a while. She was humbled that her song was being used to bless this evening.
After everything was over, I took more pics. This is Amanda (on the right) and her mother in law. We were happy to have her MIL with us tonight. We did, however, miss Amanda's mother, who is battling cancer right now. We love her and are praying for her daily.

Mrs. Mott and Freida...Freida will be starting treatment tomorrow for the cancer she is recovering from. We'll be in daily prayer for her also.

Three generations of crazy women here....From left to right is Mrs. Vondie Owens, our associate Pastor's wife, Mrs. Becky, Mrs. Joann, and Donna. Sitting is Mrs. Queen, one of the SWEETEST little ladies God ever put on this earth. A prayer warrior for sure and for certain.

Mrs. Owens and her daughter Missy Huffstetler.

Me and Hannah

Meghan and Pam.

From left to right is Tammy, Kendra, Mrs. Vicki, and Mrs. Janet. Again, three generations.

April and her momma, Mrs. Linda

And last, but not least, April and Meghan comparing bellies. They're due about the same time. Are they not adorable??

We had a really wonderful time. If you do not attend your ladies meetings, you should. You will be an encouragement to those who see you there and the meeting will be an encouragement to you.
