Happy Birthday, John!

My brother, John, celebrated his birthday yesterday. I'll not say his age, but for a clue, he's older than dirt. HA!
We helped him celebrate by meeting at our parent's home last night. When we got there, daddy was reading blogs.

Mom took a break from the stove while the garlic bread was baking. She decided to rest on John. It used to be she held him...now he holds her.

John's wife, Jenny, and their two girls bought John this really cool navigation system for his truck. It talks to you and tells you how far you have to go and when to turn and so forth. He said he used to have the Nagigator that always told him where to go, and since Jenny got him this, he still can't get the Nagigator to shut off. (Ok, for all you slow pokes out there, the "Nagigator" he is referring to is his wife.) If I'm not mistaken, a slap to the arm came right after that statement.

Amber always tries to look her best for the camera. Amber is John's oldest and is leaving for her first year of college in a couple of weeks.

This is John's wife, Jenny. She's getting ready to go back to nursing school.

Amber....again.

Praying the blessings over the food and John.

John and Jenny doing what they're always doing. Kissy Kissy!!

Daddy watching mom serving up the dessert.

Mom serving up the dessert of Frozen Peanut Butter Pie. YUUUUUM!

Me and John

John really loves that Peanut Butter Pie!

Harrison and John's son, Michael.

John loves Obsession cologne. He scored a bottle of that for his birthday. Now Jenny won't be ashamed to take him out in public cause he'll smell nice now. hehe

John reading mom and dad's card outloud. Mom always makes us read our birthday cards outloud.

So John held the card up in front of his face while he read and pretended that he was crying, which made my mom REALLY start crying.

This was his reaction to making mom cry....well, this was all of our reaction to him making mom cry. Aren't we terrible?

A picture of the "gag gift."

Opening his gift from mom and dad.

He got four of these nice shirts. Not only will he smell nice, but he'll look nice too. Isn't Jenny a fortunate woman?

I'm not sure if mother is in deep thought or deep sleep. I know she worked hard in a very hot kitchen on a very tasty lasagna dinner. It was so good, mom! Even the parts with no cheese. LOL

I've showed mom's teapots before, but I'll show you again. In the very center you can see a dark green teapot. This is the one she got off ebay for 75 CENTS! Of course, after shipping and handling, FROM JAPAN, she ended up having to pay over 90 DOLLARS! Boy did we have a laugh over that one. Well, me and John did. I don't recall daddy laughing at all.

Mom loves her teapots. Bruce's brother made the shelving for them.

Bruce's brother also made this corner hutch for more teapots.

She also has little tea sets that she has collected.

She loves them so much, she even birthed one.

We had a good time celebrating John's birthday and wish him many, many more! We love you, John~
