Prayers Being Answered

When Brother RJ and Mrs. Liz picked up Ashlyn today, the kids and I went to a double birthday party for a man in our church and his daughter.

This man and his wife have gone through a lot this year in their marriage and we've been praying for them so much. We've missed seeing them and their children at church. But tonight was a blessing for all of us.

Angie didn't tell Brother Jim (not the Brother Jim mentioned in a post below) that his friends from the church were coming. So he was surprised to see us all there along with his family. Sis Angie gave him a gift to open....a DVD.

No one really knew what to expect. When she put it in, we figured it was a video montage. And it was.

Everyone was captivated by it. Some of us were already crying.

The DVD started out with infancy and on up into adulthood.

Brother Jim was becoming quite teary-eyed himself.

Still watching on through their wedding and the births of their children.

When the pictures were over, a screen popped up and Angie told Brother Jim how much she loved him and asked if he would marry her again.

Of course he said "YES!"

We were all happy for them and wanted to give them our support. They have a long road ahead of them, but God can heal hearts and He has already begun a work in that area. We are all still praying for them and want to encourage them along the way.
I suppose human nature would be to point fingers and take sides, but the Bible says to restore such an one and we have every intention of doing our best in that area. I'm excited to see what work God has planned for this family.

Haili and Alanna, Sis Meghan's daughters, were enjoying watching Cassidy open her birthday presents.

Brother Ken was walking a very tired Abigale to sleep. Those Tennessee trips are hard on the little ones. And let me just say that I was so proud of my church family that made the effort to make it back in time, although very tired from the family retreat, to be at this party. It really showed Brother Jim and Sis Angie how much they're loved.

Cassidy turned seven. Isn't she pretty?

This is Brother Jim's parents. They are a very nice couple.

This is Sis Janet. She was Justin's mother on the family retreat this weekend.

Justin relaxing in the boy's room.

Isaac was feeding Joseph some birthday cake. These are two of Sis Meghan's boys. I never did see the oldest boy, Malachi. I guess he was busy going here and there playing.

This is Anna Grace. Brother Jim and Sis Angie's youngest daughter. So pretty.

As you can see, this trampoline is only a foot and a half off the groud. The little children had so much fun playing on it.

Here's Brother Daniel throwing Joseph in the air. If you click on the picture you can see the fun of flying all over his face. I love this picture!
Brother Daniel, when my mother sees this picture, you better be ready for her. LOL
