Visiting the Crippled

Last night, I took some of our teens to visit Mrs. Susan Mc. She had knee surgery recently and we went to take her and her family supper and to visit for a bit.

While Mrs. Susan, Brother Mike, and the little ones ate, Evan (oldest Mc) took the kids to their game room upstairs and they played pool, and other games until the feasting was over down stairs.

Brother Mike and Mrs. Susan are adopting the little girl in the chair with her. Her name is Alex. And she's a MESS! That's Evan in the background. I don't know how I managed to take pictures and didn't get a good one of him.

Pay no attention to Susan's eyes....focus on the watch that her husband gave her while we were there. Today is their anniversary and he bought her this Bulova diamond watch. KUDOS TO MIKEY!!!!! It's just beautiful.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Y'ALL!

Crystal was listening to Justin serenade us with his Hobo song he wrote a while back. That's Jarrett with Crystal. He is another of Brother Mike and Mrs. Susan's foster children.

Brother Mike just chillin' in the floor with his guitar. You would have thought one of the boys would have offered this older gentleman a seat on his own couch. Shame on them!!!!!

This is Ally making a strange face. She's Brother Mike and Mrs. Susan's daughter. This child is a total nut case. She needs help, really.......like her mother, this one. I'm kidding. Ally is a very sweet young lady, who just so happens to have a crazy side. Which makes her one of the special ones your meet in life.

Taylor holding Alex. I'm not sure what kind of smile Alex is sporting here, but it's cute, huh?

Cassie-girl....gotta love that smile!

Justin playing and singing the hobo song while Dustin and Jeremy listen. That's Dustin on the right and you know Jeremy on the left....Dustin and Jeremy are brothers.

Taylor and Cassie.....two peas in a pod, these two.

We had a good time at the Mc's home. I hope they enjoyed our stay.
Mrs. Susan and Brother Mike are always good about making an effort to see the sick or shut ins in our church. They work tiredlessly with our orchestra, our fourth - sixth grade Patch class, take in foster children, reach out to those in the community. Mrs. Susan is a Hospice nurse, and although I have never seen her in action on her job, I can say with certainty that she has a loving and gentle hand with her patients.
Their family is a blessing to me I love them so much.
