Have You Ever Thought About....
...how hungry people are for gossip? Someone can go two years or more and not see or speak to another party, but the first sound of a juicy tale will send them like a snake in the grass, slithering up next to their prey, ever so quietly gathering information to distort and possibly destroy others.
Hypathetically, of course, let's say someone used this blog to trace down another blog to find this juicy tale. Yes, "the tale" is out in public domain for anyone to read. But did they pray for these people when they read the other blog? Doubtful. Did they call in their husband on it? Yeah, probably, but he won't stand up for the right. He's pretty slitering himself. Can they wait until they see a mutual friend or aquaintance to tell what they "know" now? Nope.
To these people, I would have to say that if they are eager to read something good, try James chapter 3...
If you know someone like that, the Bible tells us what to do in Romans 16:17 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."
But as I said, this is totally hypathetical. How would I know if someone could do that anyway? My point is.....well.....you get my point.
Proverbs 16:26-28 "He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth
craveth it of him. An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there
is as a burning fire. A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer
separateth chief friends."

Point well taken...and a *very* good point it is! :)
Glad y'all had a great 4th. Loved all the pics! Looks like there was some good music being played too!
Hugs!
That was a well said hypothetical. Kindof random but well stated and well said.
I want to say that I love reading your blogs and I love reading your comments on mine! :) You are a great friend and I'm glad we've found a way to keep in touch! Have a blessed day!!
Amen!!!!
Kristi,..ooohhh don't get me started on this girl...oooh I have issues m.e.g.a issues concerning the tares among the wheat and the divisive Christians with an agenda. I have to PRAY that the Lord helps me to LOVE the person unconditionally who spreads gossip-especially about a fellow saint. I have no idea what you are talking about in this post, I don't even *want* to imagine... I get a little overprotective of my friends though girl...yes ma'am, I do.
You made a great point!! :)
Right now at church we are going through James and wow has it been an eye opening experience. James says things so clearly in terms I understand.
I guess I am *clueless* here...which probably is a good thing...maybe we need a NON recommend blog list so people unknowingly don't get caught in traps....
This shouldn't be a surprise...it happens in churches, jobs, neighborhoods....
God help us..to be what the Lord would have us to be.

Oh, Kristi, you are sooo right!! It's so shameful that people are so eager to "ask for prayer" for someone else with the intent of spreading gossip and what they think they know!!!It's sad when you feel you can't ask for prayer or christian advice from certain "christians" because you know that by the next day, everyone around will know some distorted version of your problem! It's sad that those kind of people actually delight in the battles others are going through rather than praying and weeping for their situation!!What's funny is, those people would read this and never consider you were speaking to them because they do "that which is right in their own eyes", while others will read this, and ask Oh Lord, is it me, have I done this? Have I looked for gossip, have I spread it?Has it appeared that I have?OoPPs soory, got on a soap box there. I've just seen it too many times! Thank you for this friendly reminder!
