Justin turned 16 Wednesday. Wow! Where does the time go? He was just born yesterday....or so it seems.
We're having his birthday party Saturday night, but his Grandmother won't be making it so she came by Wednesday afternoon with his gift and this thriple chocolate cake. We ate a piece of cake with her and then she had supper with us before we left for church. Thanks Grandmother!
My parent's have a Sam's card, but I do not. So they took me and Hannah with them to Sam's tonight and we purchased a couple of buggies full of food for Justin's party. Anytime we go out it always becomes an adventure. Tonight was NO exception. My mother was at the hospital today having an ultra sound on her leg. They believe she has a blood clot and told her to stay off of that leg and not go back to work until Monday. Lord willing she'll know the result of that ultra sound tomorrow. Daddy can't walk for long distances without tiring out and falling over. The two combined had them both puttering around Sam's in the motorized buggies. I don't know why, but it just seemed funny to watch them go down isle after isle bumping into things and watching people jump out of the way.
After we shopped for a while I thought it would be interesting to see them race. Mom's buggy had more stuff in it, but daddy's buggy had the heavier items. So they were balanced pretty good.
And now...the race!
Who wants to go shopping with us next Friday? I'm takin' bets if you're in!
Welcome to my Thimble Thoughts. Why do I call it Thimble Thoughts? Because they're small thoughts of my day or my life that are important to me. Are your thoughts important to me? Of course they are. God has blessed our family in more ways than we can possibly say. My prayer is that this blog will be an encouragement to those who stop by and that the Lord will always be found here.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:6-8 (KJV)
