Celebrating Harrison's Day

As you know, Friday was my little boy's birthday. We spent the day doing things he wanted to do before his daddy had to leave for work. We all slept in until about 9:30. When we got up, we dressed and headed to the electronics department at Wal Mart. Harrison got a Wii for Christmas and wanted a new game to go with it. He picked out one he's been eyeing called Carnival Games. His daddy also bought him the Wii Play kit. It came with another controller and nine other games.

Anyway, after shopping Harrison wanted to go to Golden Corral for lunch. He never picks that place. He would have probably picked McDonald's if it weren't for the fact that we're boycotting them now. And I KNOW he would not have picked it if he realized they were going to sing and clap and draw attention to him. He turned three shades of red when that happened!

He couldn't wait to get home to try out his new game, which btw, we've all had fun with. I love this Wii because of all the interaction and movement involved. You're not just sitting there with your brain on pause.

Bruce left for work and Harry wanted tacos for supper. So I picked up all the fixins when I went grocery shopping. Hannah cooked the meat while I was gone so that was all done when I got home. That was such a big help. Harrison ate six tacos. Yep! SIX! He was going for eight since that was the number of the day. But just couldn't do it.

We sang Happy Birthday to him, let him blow out his candle, and cut some pieces to go before we went to see Paw Paw at the hospital. Since Paw Paw was off his liquid diet we were able to take him a bite of cake. And when I say bite, I mean a literal bite of cake. But he seemed to enjoy his tiny piece. Harrison chose triple chocolate cake.

Paw Paw and Harry

Mom wasn't coming up to see daddy that day because it was so late when she got off work. This is him pretending that she came to see him. LOL

When we left the hospital we went to see mom so she could give Harry his gifts. He got some new Hot Wheels, a DVD, and a Wal Mart gift card.

He called Paw Paw to say thank you for his gifts.

When his daddy came home from work we broke out the cake and ice cream again. Yeah, it was late, but you know...we couldn't allow him to eat cake and ice cream by himself.
