Doin' Good!
Daddy's surgery went very good today. He had to be there at 8:30 this morning. They took him back just a few minutes before 10:00, but his surgery did not start until 12:30 this afternoon. Apparently there was some complication with the person before him so they got a late start on daddy.
His surgery was a success, according to Dr. Mancini. There were no infections. The liver and bile duct looked good. There was a lot of scar tissue built up from August and it took three hours to cut that out. The actual surgery took about an hour and a half. His time in recovery was very long and we didn't get to see him until 8:00 tonight.
The long hours made us hungry. I caught John trying to steal from the vending machine. OK, he wasn't stealing...this was just a pose.
When we were finally able to see daddy, they were checking his vitals.
Mommy couldn't wait to give him kisses.
And when we left, he was KNOCKED OUT to say the least. He was in and out and snorring like a freight train. But he was feelin' no pain from the surgery, I know that.
I have some videos to share, but blogger is being stubborn this evening. So I'll post them tomorrow if I can.
Thank you, to all of you that prayed for daddy. Our entire family appreciates each prayer sent up on his behalf.
