To See The Paw Paw

I took the kids to the hospital yesterday so they could see with their own eyes that Paw Paw was doing good. Hannah, especially, was on pins and needles to see him and make sure he was OK.

He became restless and wanted to walk so I found a pole for his IV and we walked him about halfway down the hall and back. He did so good. He was hurting a bit before he started walking, so he pushed the button for his "happy juice" and by the time we got back to the room he was feelin' pretty good, if you get my drift.

So good, in fact, that in this crumpled up blanket at the foot of his bed he was seeing a witch's face from Disney. He pointed out the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. After the kids and I looked at it from every angle and didn't see the Disney witch, we just agreed that we saw it and put daddy back in bed.

Once he was settled, he fell asleep but had a sudden jerk and woke up again to tell us there were spiders on the ceiling. But hey, what's a few little hallucinations compared to the pain of a ten inch cut across your stomach? Right?
