No Place Like Home

I saw where Christina was running a contest for homeschoolers to blog on why when it comes to school there's no place like home. If you're a homeschooler and want to participate, you still have time. Just click her name above, and you can get her rules there.

Here's my post, Christina....this was fun.

When it comes to school, there's no place like home. Why? Some might say it's because....

We get to sleep in as late as we want.
Everything can be a field trip.
We can take a park day instead of a snow day.
Our teacher's work days could be our spring cleaning days.
Our desk is whatever we make it.
We can work in our jammies if we want to.
We can play during the day and do school at night.
We can help the neighbor plant flowers for a Science project.
Parent/Teacher conferences ALWAYS go good.
When we discipline, we don't have to worry about making a parent upset.
We can eat lunch outside under a tree instead of a cafeteria if we want to.
We can do school work under a tree if we want to.
No Public school teacher loves your student more than you do.
We can take our lessons slower if we need to.
We can take our lessons faster if we need to.
Changing class could be moving from the table, to the couch, to the bed.
No shoes required.
Music class could be all of us singing around the piano.
We always have perfect attendance.

But when it comes to school, there's no BIBLICAL place like home, because:

It's ordered of God.....................Deuteronomy 6:7
WE are the authority our children must submit to......Hebrews 13:17
We teach them the way they should go with a promise....Proverbs 22:6
The principal can love the teacher without scandal............Ephesians 5:25
We can teach our children to fear the Lord.....Deuteronomy 4:10
So when it comes to school, there really is........NO PLACE LIKE HOME!
