Oops, I Shouldn't Have Said That, and Hey, Let's Listen To Piano Music
Bruce and I had the opportunity to go to the mountains with several of our friends this weekend and we didn't go! Boo Hoo!!! Yeah, I know...we went a couple of weeks ago. But now our friends are up there without us. I told Bruce I hoped they had a miserable time without us there and when I talked to them a while ago, one of them had been taken to the hospital where they discovered a kidney stone. Boy did I feel HORRIBLE! I didn't want them to have a good time without me, but I sure didn't want them ending up in the hospital either. I felt quite sheepish.
Of course, my statement was all in gest. But still....I'll say a prayer for him tonight....after I ask forgiveness, of course.
It's been raining cats and dogs out here today. And now tonight it's pouring with thunderstorms and a tornado watch. YIKES! I always have nightmares during tornado season. I don't know why, I just do. And I just remembered my car windows are down. I'm thankful for a son who offered to go out there and roll them up for me. :)
Hey, why do we still say "roll" them up? Very few car windows are rolled up any more. So what do you say if you have electric windows? Electric the windows up? See, this is what my mind does when I'm sleepy.
Bruce and I had lunch at the El Titanic Mexican Restaurant today. I LOVE this restaurant. The food is great, the service is great, but the main thing that draws me back is my favorite waiter. He's an older Spanish gentleman who ends every question with "...my friend." "Would you like more drink, my friend?" "Is everything good, my friend?" He's a very humble person, you can tell. I always try to sit in the same section with hopes of him waiting on us. Bruce likes him too and used the word Gracias in place of Thank you, today. It was a great sentiment on my dear husband's behalf, however, I must say it loses something in the translation when you have a very sharp southern drawl. LOL
It was about 2:00 before I got to mom and dad's house to clean. But I didn't start cleaning right away. I sat and talked with daddy for a while. It was almost 4:00 when I started cleaning, with breaks to play a game of Spider or checkers on the computer with him. Or help him figure out how to load his pictures on blogger. Which by the way, he has updated. So please go over and tell him hello. He's felt like blogging recently and I'm sure he wouldn't mind a bit of encouraging words or a friendly hello. He registered for his surgery today. So that's out of the way and he'll be going in on Tuesday. Please remember to keep him in your prayers.
I ordered pizza from Pizza Hut to take home to the kids after leaving my parent's house. Daddy slipped me the money for it, so dinner was on him tonight. THANKS, DADDY! It was unexpected and appreciated.
Below is a video of Hannah's latest piano piece, Pachelbel's Cannon.
Baroque Fanfare. Now this one tends to stay in my head for some reason. And when I hear it, I imagine a ballroom full of men in white wigs, long tailed coats, and nickers dancing with ladies in poofy dresses, high white wigs, all too rosy cheeks and a mole strategically placed just above the upper lip. Again...this is how my brain works when I'm sleepy.
